I wonder if the person that wrote that song was hungry....or on a diet?? haha How do they sing that with a straight face? And not only that, they lady, looks like she is about to go to sleep singing!
i think the Newsboys' "breakfast" was a better rendering of the same subject, if you ask me.
the lady didn't seem to be much of a morning person, did she? i lived in northeast MS for about 4 years and i'm very familiar with the "mornin'" show... unfortunately. this was typical fare for them.
did u notice in the info section that 6 months after they sang this, the guy died of heart failure. no more bacon and grits indeed.
ok, i guess i have twitter to thank for this @ business now. did i do that right, btw?
but no, i never saw them, and i really never tried to watch the "mornin'" show on purpose, but my in law's always had it on. it's hosted by a lady named kay bains, and i guess she's sort of the larry doggett of tupelo :-)
I'm a single Dad who loves my life. I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life, but one things remains constant, God is still on the throne, and is still in control. I have a five year old son named Drew who is my everything. I enjoy my family, friends, my church, the Arkansas Razorbacks, graphic design, among other things. I work in the engineering department of SeaArk Boats. I also run a Graphic Design business out of my home called Designs By AJ where I do all types of graphic work from Webpages to computer help. I also work with the Uth of Immanuel Baptist Church.

@dean I would have to agree about the Newsboy's breakfast being better, but this version is funnier.
Did you ever see these two on the show? And I did notice that, thought it was ironic.....lol...
