Pumpkin Patch

Posted by AJ Huffman |

This past Saturday we took Drew to Hardin Farm's Pumpkin Patch in Grady Arkansas. This was Drew's first trip to the pumpkin patch and boy did he have a blast. This was my first trip to the pumpkin patch as well so I didn't know what to expect. We paid our admission price of $6 a piece and walked through the hay covered arch way to reveal a wonderland of fall excitement. Drew had fun getting his picture made riding a toy John Deere tractor. He wanted to dig in the massive sand mound, but we wouldn't let him. He also enjoyed the Little Farmer's Play land full of toys just his size. Then we went and fed the animals, there were horses, cows, donkeys, goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, sheep, and lambs. The horse and the cows where his favorites. Then we heard the call for the hay ride, so we climbed aboard the trailer and headed off to the pumpkin patch to pick our Halloween Pumpkins. Drew loves tractors so the whole ride to the patch he couldn't take his eyes off the John Deere tractor that was pulling the trailer full of hay we were riding on. So we finally arrive at the patch and get off to pick our pumpkins. Amy and I picked out a fairly large one so we could carve it later on. Drew found him a small one and thought it was a basketball, he kept picking it up and throwing it to the ground all the time yelling "basketball". Drew had so much fun, he wore himself out, he slept the whole way home. Check out the film loop below for more pictures!

What a cute little boy. But what can I say. I am his Nannie.

Drew, your Papaw and Nannie wished we could have been there with you. Maybe next year we can go. Hope you have a great day.
