Tomato Juice

This past weekend Amy and I helped her parents can tomato juice. They bought nine, five gallon bucket fulls of tomatoes from a local farmer in Hamburg. We then took them home, washed them, cut the stems off, put them through a blender then a strainer. We then took the juice inside boiled it on the stove, and the put them in mason jars with a little bit of sugar and salt. It was a lot of work, but we all had a fun time. And now we've got enough tomato juice to last through out the year.
